Debut as a true fashion icon by competing in the 2025 Blade & Soul NEO Costume Design Contest! This is your chance to weave your legacy into the very fabric of Blade & Soul NEO.

To add to the hype leading up to NEO, we are challenging our players to design a new costume that, if chosen as the winner, will be created by the design team and put into the game for players around the world to enjoy!

Not only will you become the trendiest, most loved fashion influencer in B&S NEO, but you will also be awarded amazing prizes! So, get your pencil and thread ready and start designing!

 

Costume Design Guidelines

Your artwork can be hand drawn or digital and it must be your own original work; Any designs that violate copyright or someone else’s intellectual property will be disqualified. This means you cannot use other people’s art, and you cannot use Artificial Intelligence. Using AI is strictly forbidden.

Design and create the costume of your dreams that would fit within the Blade & Soul world. Think medieval, East Asia, and fantasy outfits to create your own unique style.

You can include the design of a head or face adornment to accompany your costume but be aware that they may not end up as part of the final in-game design when the winning design is implemented. Note that we are not looking for a weapon design, this is a costume only design contest.

Please refrain from costume designs that are too revealing or explicit.

Be sure you have read our Contest Supplemental Rules and Promotion General Rules in addition to this instruction. By entering this contest, you accept and agree with all applicable terms of this contest, including, without limitation, this instruction, Supplemental Rules, and General Terms of Promotion. 

 

Submission Guidelines

Make sure to follow our Submission Guidelines when you submit your work:

  • Entries that do not meet these requirements will be disqualified. 
  • Winners will be revealed shortly after the contest ends.
  • Only one entry per person. 
  • You must submit an image with a front and back view of your design.
  • Entries must be submitted between February 11, 2025 and March 11, 2025. 
  • Submissions will close March 11, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. PST. 
  • There is a dedicated channel on the official Discord to submit your costume design: #neo-costume-design-contest. You can find the link here. Please include the following information in the post using the Discord Post Template below:

    1. [Accept the Terms] You must consent to us gathering your information in order to consider your submission for this contest. Please provide us your voluntary, express consent by writing in your Discord submission post, “I hereby give my consent that NC America may collect, share, and use the information I provide for the purpose of this contest.”   

    IMPORTANT: Without your statement of consent, we cannot collect or use your information and therefore, we will not consider your submission and will not collect the information you have disclosed. 

  2. [Character Name and Server] Write your Character Name and Server on B&S Live. Because NEO has not been released yet, you must submit using a B&S Live character.
  3. [Costume Name] Give your costume a name and write it here. 
  4. [Costume Description] Give us a description of your design approximately 150 words or less (to help the design team create it in-game).

 

Judging

The Blade & Soul team will select 5 finalists including a Grand prize winner who will be published on the Discord and Website along with their submitted design. The Grand Prize Winner and Finalists will be announced on or around March 14, 2025. 

Judging will be focused on design creativity, aesthetic appeal, and how well it fits in the Blade & Soul world.

 

Prizes

The Grand Prize Winner will receive:

  • The costume created for Contest submission
  • Gunner’s Oath costume
  • x30 Chromatic Threads
  • A special “Fashionista” Discord Role

The 4 Runner Up finalists will each receive:

  • A special “Fashionista” Discord Role
  • Gunner’s Oath costume
  • x30 Chromatic Threads
