Crickets... war is coming! The decision between Crimson and Cerulean has never been so important! Recently in our Discord, NCA staff members [PR] Tom and [CM] Rownen erupted into a fight and challenged each other to war. Who will be the true champion: Tom or Row? Only their armies can decide.
For the past week, our Discord has been split into two: Crimson vs. Cerulean. In-game skirmishes have erupted and Captains for each server’s faction have been elected in Discord. We are now ready to go to war, and all players can now participate to determine who the best faction is!
All participating players who get at least one kill will be rewarded and the highest ranking players on each faction will be delivered gold for their accomplishments. Get ready Crickets, NEO’s first war is beginning, and we need YOU!

Below are the current estimated scores for Day 1-3 of the WAR. Please note, these are only estimates. We will still be checking scores for validity, wintrading, and Captain kills at the end of the WAR. We hope these previews help add some excitement to the final days of the WAR in the Scorching Sands! Good luck Crickets!

How to Participate
In-Game
All players who have unlocked and chosen their faction outfit can participate.
Each day of the week, during a 2-hour period, there will be a new location where your Faction vs. Faction kills will be recorded and logged towards the war efforts. At the end of the week-long war, all kills will be tallied up to determine who the winning faction is. Additionally, rewards will be given to all players for participation, and even better rewards for those who have the most points.
Discord
If you’d like to meet more members in your faction and help organize the war with your Captain, head over to our Discord here and make sure you choose your faction in the #faction-select channel. Once you choose your faction, secret faction channels will be unlocked where you can receive news from your Captain and chat with your fellow faction mates.
Captains
Player Captains have been elected on Discord to provide a sense of community and fun to the war. Captains can help organize and rally the troops on Discord, or just be there to act as leader for Day 1. It is up to the faction and Captain on how they want to take advantage of the community position. Some Captains have been giving daily missions to their faction, some have been organizing skirmishes, and some are just there for some good ol’ fashion faction trash talk (PG-rated of course). 😆

Scoring
Knockdowns for Points
We have now changed the scoring rules from getting a point for full kills to only getting a point from knocking down a player (putting them into near-death). You will not get a point from a full kill. You will only get a point from knocking the player down.
We have chosen this change due to the possible exploit where players could immediately use the "Return" skill to warp away before a player could kill them. Spamming the "Return" or "4" key would allow all players to avoid giving points to the other team. Therefor, we will award a point to those who knockout a player and put them into a "near-death" state. However, we do recommend finishing off your kills before they resurrect and come after you :)
At the end of the week-long war, all knockdowns will be tallied up using server logs by NCA Staff, to decide who the winning faction is and who the highest-ranking players are.
Captains
To add a bit of fun strategy to the war, if both faction Captains are online and fighting in the daily war location at the same time, each Captain knockdown will count as 5 points instead of 1. This adds a bit of strategy to the war where you will want to protect the Captain at all times and attempt to kill the opposing faction’s Captain.
Wintrading
Wintrading will be under strict watch during war time, both through logs and from other players. If any player is found wintrading, action will be taken, and they will automatically be removed from participation rewards and rankings.
Day 1 and Opening Ceremony
To celebrate the first day of war, each faction will meet in a Yehara’s Mirage (Crimson) or Jadestone Village (Cerulean) for a full faction picture and motivational war speeches from each faction’s Captain. Captains, if you can’t make the ceremony, please send a friend for some words of inspiration. Tom and Rownen will also be there to support their faction! You won’t want to miss these before you head off to your first battlefield!
