Greetings, Warriors of the Earthen Realm!
We’re three months into 2022, and we wanted to take the time and give you a look at what’s in store for this year for Blade & Soul. First and foremost, let me thank you all again for your feedback on the forums and elsewhere – we read and evaluate everything you write and take what we can to our development team.
In January, we did have some trouble with Arena PvP and more – and though the time it took to implement fixes was not acceptable to us, we were grateful to all of you who kept communicating with us while we got the fixes in and issued compensations. That particular issue is now identified and resolved, and we have much brighter things to look forward to for the rest of the year!
Thanks to your feedback, we added additional gold rewards to Demonsbane ranking last month, and we’ll continue to work on adding gold rewards to other content in April’s update and beyond. When we asked you about the Treasure Trove, we got an overwhelming response – we’re currently digesting all your responses, but keep it coming! We hope to be able to communicate specific changes soon.
We also took your feedback into account with the introduction of the Soul Boost system in January. This new system greatly eases the requirements for players to upgrade their gear up to the current end-game content. We hope you’ve been able to take advantage of this new system, especially in conjunction with the Class Change system we released a few weeks ago.
We’ve been seeing a lot of positivity around the Demonsbane system for dungeons. Last month, we added a slightly modified return to the Blackram Supply Chain dungeon. You can look forward to more Demonsbane dungeons coming throughout the year – some new, maybe some old, but all teeming with great rewards and variability to keep you and your party on your toes!
Our major theme for Blade & Soul this year is releasing quality updates and smoothing out the progression curve for mid-tier players. We still have plenty of end-game content coming, along with some exciting new systems and skill updates (we hope all the Wardens out there are ready for their third spec!). But right now, our priority is to ease the transition for players to reach the more advanced end-game content. We’ll have a new season of Demonsbane rankings to challenge you all with, and with that, some new rewards. And while we can’t get too specific on details just yet, you can expect a new class, UI improvements, events both new and old, and even more later this year.
As always, we want and need your feedback to help make the Blade & Soul experience the best it can be. On behalf of the whole Blade & Soul team, we want thank you all, and we hope you look forward to the rest of the content coming in 2022!
