The Dark Awakening release sees the return of a familiar enemy group, the Ebondrake! You’ll follow their trails to reveal dark secrets in the Chimera Lab, the latest Demonsbane dungeon, and your opportunity to gain brand new accessories. Let’s get you ready for some epic investigation.

Chimera Lab is a Mythical dungeon (Demonsbane system).
4-player Dungeon, available for Level 60 above Hongmoon Mastery 25.
Rewards include the new Oculus Accessories (Necklace and Gloves), Upsurge Weapons, Starcross Accessories, new portraits, upgrade materials, and more!

Previously on the Demonsbane Dungeons

The story directly follows the end of the Grim Nexus dungeon released in October (SPOILER ALERT). Your character and Junghado took the two Ebondrake Adepts found next to the Grimhorn for interrogation at the Talus Dungeon.

Without saying too much, we can tell you that the story of the twins Starling and Myna is not over yet. You’ll be working with representatives of the Talus Dominion and the Stratus Empire to uncover a new form of biological experiment conducted by the Ebondrake, leading to one of the Dowager's formerly abandoned laboratories.

You’ll start the story by picking up the quest called The Chimera Lab from your Quest Journal (Shortcut [J]), then continue with the quest Up and Vanished. Here are the details from all the quests available for this Demonsbane dungeon:

Demonsbane Dungeon Stages

Like all 4-player Demonsbane dungeons, Chimera Lab has 20 available stages of increasing difficulty. You first start at Stage 1, and then earn Demonsbane Experience by completing the dungeon. The next stage unlocks once you’ve reached a certain amount of Demonsbane XP, and you can go back to it at any time. To see your Demonsbane Stage and Experience, access the Demonsbane Scroll on the lower left of the UI, next to your Unity Rank.

Some stages introduce different boss mechanics through effects, which include:

Effect	Description
Discord	Periodically creates an Aftershock at the challenger’s location.
Executive Power	Increases the Attack Power and Health of boss monsters.
Fatal Injury	Deals Damage over Time when the challenger’s HP is below 80%.
Fatigue	Triggers an effect that periodically decreases the Recovery Rate.
Grudge	Creates a Chaos Orb that increases allies’ Attack Power and deals Damage over Time to the challenger when a normal monster is killed.
Inspire	Creates a totem that increases allies’ HP and deals damage to the challenger when a normal monster is killed.
Mayhem	Periodically creates a Ripple at the challenger’s location.
Merciless	Triggers an Attack Power Bonus and Damage Reduction effects when a normal monster is hit during a debuff.
Obsession	Has a chance to summon a Vortex Chaos Orb during combat.
Rage	Triggers Attack Power Bonus and Damage Reduction effects when a normal monster’s HP is below 30%.
Unstoppable	Applies the Invincible effect to allies near a certain monster.
Uprising	Increases the Attack Power of normal monsters.

Dynamic Quest

Demonsbane Dungeon Ranking

Your progress in Demonsbane dungeons is recorded individually by class in the Demonsbane Ranking. You can find the Demonsbane Ranking in the main menu or through the Demonsbane Scroll. The new ranking season is now available, and Demonsbane Ranking rewards will be distributed weekly and at the end of the season.
